    b. 1998, BE, based between Antwerp and Brussels

Camille Van Meenen’s interests span the ethics and affects of the cultural field and her curatorial practice is focused on the facilitation and professionalisation of artistic practices. She sees great value in the exchanges within international environments and recognises the benefits of collaboration. A multitude of perspectives—and the importance of considering them—is what inspires her the most in her curatorial practice. Camille holds a postgraduate degree in Curatorial Studies at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent (BE), has previously worked at 1646 Experimental Art Space, The Hague (NL) and A Tale of A Tub, Rotterdam (NL), and has collaborated with institutions such as De Singel, Antwerp (BE), Kunsthal Gent (BE), Prospects, Art Rotterdam (NL), and Stuctura Gallery, Sofia (BG). In 2023, she co-founded Jumping Fences, a one year exhibition and residency project at Het Paviljoen, in Ghent (BE), which also travelled for an extramuros exhibition to Vleeshal, Middelburg (NL). She took part in the 3rd edition of the Young Curators Programme, a one year fellowship part of the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (IT). Previously, she obtained a BA in Cultural Studies at Maastricht University and an MA in Arts & Culture: Contemporary Art from a Global Perspective at the Leiden University.

Since September 2024, she is part of the curatorial collective at Komplot.
